Decorative Planner Stamping - Valentine`s Week
Decorative Planner Stamping - Valentine`s Week - Joanna`s Planner
A gooey pink spread from me this week. I really couldn`t resist. The frog on the lily pad is a colouring page I found when searching for the right Valentines image. I wanted something fun and as I like frogs...well here we go!
As usual I have printed the frog on to white sticker paper (the cheapest I can buy on Amazon) and I have coloured him up with alcohol markers. You might notice I had a little problem with the blending on the lily pad itself but texturing made it look a lot better.
Sticker paper is not so easy to use as a good blending card but given I use the thinnest I can find, it can only hold so much ink and consequently has to blend.
The frog has then been cut out and applied to a lightly sponged background (Stampin` Up Soft Sky). The little bee mine stamp set from Lawn Fawn was used to decorate Valentine`s Day itself. Did you do something special?....I have been married so long that we tend not to get mushy, and I really get annoyed that prices go up just for the day. However, we are going out for a Turkish meal on Friday night but that is more about last few days of freedom than anything else. More about that later...
Now check out that flowery washi tape...that is something else. I believe it is a Mambi one that I have picked up from Amazon or somewhere. I haven`t used anything other washi from the tube and in fact this didn`t look great on the roll but wow! It makes a big impact on this spread and just brings the pink elements together.
The little toad clip is a `Toadally Awesome` stamp from Stampin` Up and he is my go to stamp for teaching basic colouring techniques.
