Decorative Planner Stamping - Farmer's Market

Decorative Planner Stamping - Farmer's Market

Decorative Planner Stamping - Jo Whight - Farmer's Market

Those people on the Facebook group #creativeplanners have set this weeks theme as 'farmers market'.  Well that truly had me stumped. I think the farmer`s markets where I live in the UK may be different to those in the US.  I live in a rural area and farmer`s markets here are about farmers selling organic meats, artisan smoked fish as I live on the coast and other area specialities such as samphire.

This caused some grief as I found it really difficult to find an appropriate image. However, this one from Saturated Canary seemed to fit the bill.  It was suggested by my friend Kirsten who also enjoys colouring.

This week I have used alcohol markers to colour up the main image.  As usual I have used sticker paper for the colouring, as planner pages will not support the use of alcohol markers direct.  I applied custom white spots on the clothing to match in with the red spotty Washi tape and bring the design together.  A little background inking was achieved with a sponge and two of the inks from the Stampin' up range (soft sky & sahara sand).  I demo for Stampin` Up and you can visit my SU blog here.

My functional stamps this week are a mix of Studio L2e, Tiny Stamps Big Plans, Sweet Stamp Shop and Technique Tuesday.

The theme has been continued with Rocket Red and Pearlescent Ivy Brilliance inks by Tsukineiko, with a little Versafine in onyx black and my favourite Staedtler fine liners.

Hope you guys get some inspiration and ideas for your own planners...have a great week

Jo xx
