Planner Pages, Decorative Stamping - Jo Whight - TuTu Girl

I am sitting in the garden, in the sun, trying not to get burnt.  Just enjoying the warmth......before we have more storms.  I got caught in a big one earlier today and got soaked to the skin.  Consequently it is very hazy.  I was hoping to get some decent photos of the aircraft flying over my garden on the way to London for the fly by at The Trooping of the Colour.  Sadly they are all very blurry

Not sure what the first pic is but the second are the Red Arrows

So, this week I have used an image called 'Honey' by Saturated Canary.  The colouring on the skirt has been driving me nuts.  I think this might be version 3...the image this week is bigger than I would usually use just to try and get the skirt right.

On sticker paper

Colouring on sticker paper is much more difficult than colouring on card because of the way the ink is taken up.  I am quietly pleased with version 5 on xpress it blending card though....I am thinking I will make this in to a divider or dashboard.

On Card

Sadly, Krista who owns Saturated Canary has said that she intends to shut up shop at the end of August.  So now is the time to support the shop and buy any images you might want.

This weeks spread utilises the 'Honey' image which was fussy cut and applied to a brick background. This background was made by inking through a stencil I got at one of the papercrafts shows here in the UK.  It is really tiny about the size of an ATC, so I had to realign the stencil and ink again until I got the background shape and size that I wanted.

Sadly, purple Washi is not easily found here in the UK, so I made my own by scribbling on a lilac Washi sample that someone sent.  The idea worked really well until I took my planner in the kitchen and got water on it.  Spot the purple splodge...this colour definitely comes from the Washi as alcohol inks are not soluble in water.  I am not sure if all Washi leaks colour or if this was just a duff batch.

You might notice that I have ballooning planned for Monday.  This has been planned many times in the last two years but has been cancelled as the weather has not been quite right.  I have a feeling Monday will not happen as it is supposed to be cloudy.  The Hubster and I treated ourselves to this trip for our silver wedding is our 27th anniversary on Friday, so it would be really nice if it did happen.  The balloon was made from a regular balloon stamp from Lawn Fawn (admit one).  I masked off the nobbly bit at the bottom and used a fine liner to draw in the basket and detail...I think it went quite well all things considered.

Hope you all have a fabulous week.  Jo xx
